Purpose: "GOD WANTS US TO BE STEWARDS OF THE TIME HE HAS GIVEN US! And as stewards of our time...we need to be wise in how we manage both our HOURS and our OPPORTUNITIES."

I. GOD WANTS US TO BE WISE STEWARDS OF OUR HOURS

II GOD WANTS US TO BE WISE STEWARDS OF OUR OPPORTUNITIES

Purpose: "God's desire is that His disciples love without hypocrisy. This will be evidenced in how we respond to both those within the church and those without."

I. A DISCIPLE LOVES WITHOUT HYPOCRISY THOSE INSIDE THE CHURCH (14-16)
A. Without hypocrisy, they respond to their opposition.

B. Without hypocrisy, they respond to their condition.

C. Without hypocrisy, they respond to their position.

II. A DISCIPLE LOVES WITHOUT HYPOCRISY THOSE OUTSIDE THE CHURCH (17-21)

A. Without hypocrisy, they seek good and not evil.

B. Without hypocrisy, they seek peace and not strife.

Purpose: "God wants us to respect government authority! We can do this by both submitting to...and supporting...His governing ministers."

God wants us to...
I. BE SUBJECT TO GOVERNING AUTHORITIES (1-4)
A. Be subject to them as God's ministers.

B. Be subject to them as God's avengers.

God wants us to...
II. BE SUPPORTIVE OF GOVERNING AUTHORITIES (5-7)
A. Be supportive of them because of what they do.

B. Be supportive of them by giving what is due.

Purpose: People around the world are asking, "How can I know God's will?"..."How can I have victory over sin?"..."How can I rescue my marriage?"..."How can I protect my kids?"..."How can I have peace?"

The answer is clear: By following these three steps...

Purpose: "Today we're going to see that, just as the disciples had to learn to trust Jesus in every situation, so God wants us to learn to trust Him...even in the worst storms of life!"
