“The Battle Belongs To The Lord!” Psalm 144
Purpose: “God wants us to confidently face battles in this life by trusting in Him and not in ourselves.”
I. TRUST THAT GOD HAS PREPARED YOU FOR THE BATTLE (1)
II. TRUST THAT GOD WILL PROTECT YOU IN THE BATTLE (2-8)
III. TRUST THAT GOD WILL BLESS YOU AFTER THE BATTLE (9-15)
Purpose: “One of the great truths of the Bible is that the only true God of the Universe has revealed Himself to mankind. His desire is that we respond to His revelation like the Prophet Isaiah!”
I. WE NEED TO SEE THE LORD IN HIS GLORY (1-4)
A. Without a vision of God, we see our own glory.
B. With a vision of God, we see His glory!
II. WE NEED TO SEE OURSELVES IN LIGHT OF HIS GLORY (5)
A. We will see our past sins.
B. We will see our future judgment.

Purpose: “Today we going to see that the Lord’s desire for each of us is that we look beyond our own wants and desires and see the real spiritual needs all around us.

Purpose: “When the battles of life intensify, God wants us to stand firm, knowing that He is YAHWEH...the God who is always present and at work in our circumstances.”
Purpose: “After 11 chapters of showing us the sinfulness of man & the ongoing mercies of God, Paul now shows us that our only logical response is to offer ourselves as 'Living Sacrifices'!”
Two things are required of a Living Sacrifice:

II. A TRANSFORMATION OF THE MIND (2)
Purpose: “In verses 10-13, Paul gives us four things God wnats us to be. We see that He wants us to be loving, zealous, persevering, & generous. This morning, we're going to look at just the first one.”

Purpose: "The key to successful stewardship is to live in humble dependence upon the Lord. This is evidenced in our lives as we choose to both consult Him in all our plans and confess our dependence upon Him in all that we do."
I CONSULT GOD IN ALL YOUR PLANS (13-14)
A. You don't know what will happen tomorrow
B. Your life is but a vapor
II. CONFESS GOD ALL YOUR PLANS (15-17)
A. To confess God is to live in humble dependence
B. To disregard God is to live in prideful independence.
Purpose: People around the world are asking, "How can I know God's will?"..."How can I have victory over sin?"..."How can I rescue my marriage?"..."How can I protect my kids?"..."How can I have peace?"
The answer is clear: By following these three steps...

Purpose: "God wants us to love others in the church with the same sacrificial love of Jesus Christ that we ourselves have received!" And we can do this as we WALK in love, RUN after peace and edification, and LIFT the struggles of the weak!
Purpose: God wants us to experience the resurrection life of Jesus Christ today! But that will never become a reality in our lives until we, too, are filled with a zeal for the Temple of God!
I. JESUS CHRIST WANTS TO CLEANSE HIS TEMPLE! (14-16)
Purpose: "Today we're going to see that, just as the disciples had to learn to trust Jesus in every situation, so God wants us to learn to trust Him...even in the worst storms of life!"
Purpose: God wants us to carry-out the ministry of the Great Commission by following Paul's example of Loving the Church, Ministering the Gospel, & Penetrating the Culture with the truth & grace of Jesus Christ!
Purpose: "God wants all of His children to live victoriously here on this earth as they stand fast in the Lord Jesus Christ!"
We can stand fast by holding firm to these four priorities:
I THE PRIORITY OF UNITY(2-3)
A. Be of the same mind in the lord(2)
B. Be of the same purpose in the Lord (3)
II THE PRIORITY OF BEING OTHERS-FOCUSED (4-5)
A. Be focused on the Lord (4)
B. Be focused on others (5)
III THE PRIORITY OF PRAYER (6-7)
A. We gave Him our prayers (6)
B. He gives us His peace (7)

8. Not greedy for money
9. Gentle
10.Not quarrelsome
11.Not covetous
12.Not a novice
II. GOD IS LOOKING FOR MEN OF PROVEN SKILLS
1. Hospitable
2. Able to teach
3. Rules his own house well
